A PR and Events company will be moving into a new Ealing office next week.

Ricco Events and Ricco PR were both founded by Sonya Dhillon, 32, and will be moving into their new office on Uxbridge Road in Ealing Broadway, on Monday December 7.

Dhillon told Nub News: "I went to school in Ealing so I know the area very well and there's just something about Ealing Broadway, seemed like the obvious choice."

The 32-year-old who is also the company's CEO, first founded Ricco Events three years ago and ran it part-time alongside her job at Virgin Atlantic.

She was made redundant due to the pandemic in May and that's when she decided to expand into PR as well and launched Ricco PR in June.

"Everyone would always ask me, 'who does your marketing and social media, because it's very good.'

"I would always do it myself and people thought it was good, so I decided to turn it into another business.

"So now apart from putting on exclusive events for brands and celebrities, we also do PR and marketing for businesses too."

The coronavirus pandemic also had a part to play in that, as much of what Ricco Events had planned for 2020 had to be cancelled, whereas PR and social media work could still take place as businesses focused more on their online presence.

Dhillon's two businesses have grown so much already that she can now afford to hire her first staff member.

"So far I had a good circle of freelancers who I worked with, but it's time for me to hire a member of staff."

Dhillon's success has also reached across the pond, as an American celebrity contacted her in order to put on an event.

"I don't know how they heard of me, but I'm glad they did, means I'm doing something right with my brand on Instagram."
