Join us for an insightful afternoon with Dame Elizabeth Anionwu, Emeritus Professor of Nursing at the University of West London and author.
Speaker Biography:
As part of International Womens Day whose theme is Inspire Inclusion, Dame Elizabeth Anionwu an Emeritus Professor of Nursing at UWL will be sharing her journey.
Dame Anionwu is the UK's first sickle cell specialist nurse. She has been appointed as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, a fellow of the Royal College of Nursing and given the Order of Merit something no nurse has received since Florence Nightingale.
Most recently known for her important historical role at the King's Coronation, carrying the gold Sovereign Orb during the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023.
Dame Anionwu published her memoirs 'Dreams From My Mother' in both paperback and audiobook in 2021.
Dr Idowu will be in conversation with Dame Anionwu followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. Light refreshments will be provided after the talk during the networking session and book signing, (please purchase your book from eg Amazon and bring it with you).
