Ealing Council by-elections results announced

THE results of the Ealing Council by-elections have been announced, with all three wards being held by their respective parties.

The Conservatives held both Hanger Hill and Ealing Broadway, while Labour held on to Hobbayne.

Julian Gallant secured 2,076 votes in Ealing Broadway, beating Labour's Claire Marie Tighe by 475 votes, as she came in second with 1,601.

Fabio Conti, former Northfield councillor, managed to win in Hanger Hill with 1,762 votes, 365 votes more than his Labour challenger, Grace Quansah, who received 1,397.

Meanwhile Labour's Louise Brett won the Hobbayne Ward after securing 2,345 votes, beating Tory candidate David Castle by 868 after he pulled in 1,477 votes.

The results for London Mayor and the Greater London Assembly have not yet been announced, so stay tuned to find out.
