A fantastic Primary School based in the Borough of Ealing is looking for an Unqualified Support Assistant to provide assistance to children with additional academic needs (SEN) including ASD, ADHD, SpLD and more. This is the ideal role for those wishing to pursue a teaching career, as well as roles in childcare, psychology, mental health, social work, etc.

The Unqualified Support Assistant opportunity is a brilliant chance to gain paid school-based experience and the school would like the ideal candidate to start in September.

About The Unqualified Support Assistant Role

  • Working in a Primary School centred around community, inclusivity and opportunities
  • Providing support to teachers and pupils
  • Leading 1:1 and small group sessions dedicated to assisting children with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Upholding the school's core values

Unqualified Support Assistant Job Specification

  • 105 - 110 daily rate
  • Full-Time, Long-Term role
  • Based in Ealing
  • Monday - Friday only
  • 8.30am - 4pm
  • ASAP start

The Ideal Unqualified Support Assistant

  • A graduate with strong academics, including a 1st Class degree or 2:1
  • Experience working with children in a school-based environment
  • A good understanding and experience of SEN/SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of young people
