Unqualified Playroom Assistant

Q - Are you looking for a new opportunity to support children in the first steps of their learning journeys?

EdEx are working with a 'Good' graded Primary School in Ealing seeking an Unqualified Playroom Assistant to start ASAP - this is a Long-Term and Full-Time role for at least the remainder of the academic year.

This school pride themselves on creating well-rounded, high-achieving and conscientious pupils. They are taught to be compassionate, inclusive and kind from their first day. The Staff team of Teachers, Graduate Teaching Assistants and Support Staff are supported and encouraged to progress - it is a positive and productive learning environment for all.

Within this Unqualified Playroom Assistant role, you will be working closely with experienced Playroom Leaders and Nursery Staff, supporting students in Nursery and EYFS classes throughout the day. This role also working with students with diagnosed and suspected SEND/SEMH needs and previous experience is desirable.

ABOUT THE UNQUALIFIED PLAYROOM ASSISTANT ROLE

  • Working alongside experienced professionals to supervise Nursery and EYFS students
  • Supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Leading interventions to encourage pupil progress in difficult areas of the EYFS curriculum
  • Encouraging learning through play and creative outlets
  • Monday - Friday, Term-Time only
  • 30am - 4pm
  • Long-Term, Full-Time
  • 105 - 110 per day
  • ASAP Start

IDEAL APPLICANTS FOR THE UNQUALIFIED PLAYROOM ASSISTANT ROLE

  • A strong academic background including solid grades (Degree, A-Levels, GCSEs)
  • Previous child-based experience and working with SEND
  • An individual with a passion for working with children and the desire to pursue an education-based role
  • Someone looking to get stuck in from the first day - personality is key!
