Responsibilities:

  • As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will support the teaching and learning of mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group intervention sessions to help students grasp complex concepts.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging maths lessons.
  • Collaborate with the maths department to develop resources and strategies for improving student attainment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements for a Maths Teaching Assistant:

  • A strong academic background in mathematics (A-level or equivalent minimum; degree preferred).
  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a classroom setting or working with children (desirable but not essential).
