Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Promote a love for literature and language, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure academic improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including clubs, trips, and school events, to enrich the student experience.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support a collaborative school culture.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (experience at A-Level is desirable but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and current educational developments.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
