We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Ealing. This role is perfect for someone with experience working with children who have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism.
About the RoleAs a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support for pupils with complex needs. This includes working with children who have SLD and PMLD, which means they may require significant support with communication, mobility, and personal care. Many pupils also have Autism, so an understanding of sensory needs and a calm, patient approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with PMLD, SLD, and Autism.
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and feeding, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Support pupils in developing communication and independence skills.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality provision.
- Use strategies such as Team Teach or sensory-based approaches (if trained) to support behaviour and learning.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in an SEN setting.
- Proven experience working with children with PMLD, SLD, and Autism.
- A compassionate, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting pupils' individual needs.
- Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting the rich cultural heritage of the community in Ealing.
