Job Advert: Quantity Surveyor - Civils/Rail Project (Tier 1 Contractor) Location: Ealing, London Start Date: January 2025 Daily Rate: 350 - 450 (dependent on experience) Contract: Long-term

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Contractor working on an exciting Civils/Rail project in Ealing, London. This is a long-term opportunity, with the project set to begin in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of cost management for civil and rail works.
  • Conducting accurate measurements and providing cost estimates.
  • Preparing and submitting tender documents, bills of quantities, and progress reports.
  • Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, and the project team to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
  • Assisting with procurement, valuing work completed, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering or rail sector.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects (Tier 1 contractor experience is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
