About the Role

Main Residential Developer clients are after an experienced Technical Manager to join their West London teams.

This is a permanent, full-time position with travel to site and office in the Residential Building Sector. Prior experience working for a Developer, working with either RC frame projects, cladding/recladding, are a huge advantage and will be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage site operations in collaboration with the Senior Technical Manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly and aligns with the agreed schedule.
  • Play a key role in implementing health and safety measures, ensuring compliance with the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015, and completing all necessary health, safety, and environmental documentation.
  • Manage the flow of design information and technical documents, including surveys, reports, and consultant proposals. This involves coordinating with consultants to ensure designs meet project requirements and securing the necessary approvals.
  • Possess a strong understanding of civil engineering, utility coordination, and design management, including a solid grasp of S104, S38, and S278 agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, landscape architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent design and seamless project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, including building control, warranty providers, and environmental standards.
  • Assist the land, planning, and development teams during land acquisition, helping to obtain the necessary information for planning approvals.

Skills and Experience:

  • A solid understanding of construction principles, design, and project management.
  • Knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management).
  • Prior experience working with a Tier 1/Tier 2 Residential Developer
  • Member of a professional body such as: ICE, CIAT, CIOB
  • Principal Designer and associated Health and Safety training/ qualifications
  • CSCS card
  • Use of Viewpoint drawing management system
  • Proficient use of Auto Cad
