1. London Wall - The Questors Theatre
About: After accepting a role as a typist in a solicitor's office, fresh-faced Pat is soon exposed to the harsh reality of the 1930s workplace – and specifically the attentions of slimy Office Manager, Brewer.
Gender and sex politics come to the fore in John Van Druten's prescient comedy.
Revived by the Finborough in 2013, The Guardian's four-star review described London Wall as a play "with a social purpose" that "still has some pertinent things" to say about "sexual double standards and the exploitation of women."
When: 13 to 20 July.
Where: 12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ
Price: See website for prices.
2. Indian Football Tournament 2024
About: Nikhil Vadhera and his close friend Akash Patel started this tournament back in 2022 with the aims of promoting South Asian grassroots football whilst raising money and awareness for MIND charity which is a charity very close to our hearts.
They have raised over £6300 across the past two tournaments.
The previous iterations have seen 24 teams come down each year, with players from all faiths and background, to Cranford School for a world cup style (group stages and knockout) tournament.
The organisers say: "For IFT2024 (29/06/2024), our vision is to not only grow the existing men's tournament to 32 teams but to also run a female only tournament alongside the male tournament on the same day!
"As we know, female football has really taken off in recent years but from a grassroots perspective we'd love to contribute to the success of it."
When: Sat, 29 June. 10:30am.
Where: Cranford Community College, TW5 9PD
Price: See website.
3. Ealing’s 1970s Wasteland (photography exhibition)
About: His evocative exhibition of black and white photographs documents an important but often forgotten part of central Ealing's history.
The exhibition comprises about 40 photographs of the clearance of The Grove area community prior to the construction of the new town centre.
They are taken by Ian Cole, a photographer who was living in Ealing at the time.
When: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June between 1pm and 6pm.
Where: Open Ealing, Unit 14, School Lane, Dickens Yard, W5 2TD
Price: See website.
