Ealing’s 1970s Wasteland (photography exhibition)

his evocative exhibition of black and white photographs documents an important but often forgotten part of central Ealing's history. The exhibition comprises about 40 photographs of the clearance of The Grove area community prior to the construction of the new town centre. They are taken by Ian Cole, a photographer who was living in Ealing at the time.

The exhibition is open on Saturday 15, Sunday 16, Sunday 23, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June between 1 and 6 pm.

Ian will also be giving a talk about the photographs and about some of the views expressed over the years leading up to the redevelopment on Tuesday 18 June at 7.30.
