An Indian restaurant Ealing launches what they believe is "the biggest ever Thali in the UK" which contains over 25 different dishes - The Grand Thali.

Patri, in Northfields, Ealing calls the massive dish the Grand Thali. It includes dishes such as Delhi's Aloo Tikki Chaat, London's Boyfriend Chaat and Old Delhi Pani Bombs, a large jug of Mango Lassi and two desserts – English Summer Fruit Cream and Carrot Halva.

Thali is a traditional Indian meal consisting of a variety of dishes, including rice, bread, vegetables, lentils, curries, pickles, and desserts, all served on a single platter.

Patri say pre-booking is essential and even though the thali takes around half an hour to arrive at the table, starters come out throughout to keep the hunger pangs at bay.

Puneet Wadhwani, Patri's founder and the creator of The Grand Thali, believes this behemoth signature selection "is the biggest ever in the UK."

The Grand Thali also features tasters of Patri's best-selling dishes:

Appetisers & Starters: Vibrant DIY Pani Puri Bombs, Not-Your-Butter-Chicken Samosas, and more, reminiscent of bustling bazaars and street food delights.

Tandoori Delights: Smokey and juicy, diners will feast on Tandoori Broccoli, Nawabi Seekh Kebab, and Tandoori Chicken Tikka, paying homage to the age-old tandoor cooking techniques of which Patri is so proud.

Signature Mains: Explore a symphony of flavours with dishes such as Butter Chicken, Super Tender and Spicy Rogan Josh, and Kerelan Sea Food Moilee with Dal Makhani and Proper Punjabi Kadhi.

Sides & Accompaniments: You'll find puffy and buttery Tandoori Naan, aromatic Plain Rice, and more.

The Grand Thali is also available as a vegetarian meal too and this summer, Patri will launch a summer version which includes 4 of their incredible cocktails, which features an array of artisan gins, rums, and other spirits.

It is available at Patri Northfields and will be launching soon at Patri Hammersmith.

Patri opened in 2018 and became an overnight hit with locals in west London and wider London diners. Puneet created the brand to bring back to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station, and of those he remembers eating onboard India's trains.

From rail side snacks, such as 'girlfriend chaat,' cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, 'rara gosht,' cooked on board, Patri's menu centres around the distinct culinary journeys of India's historic railway stations, the restaurant says.
