EALING has seen another decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases, with figures dropping for the ninth consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 9% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of March 8 to 14, Ealing saw 225 new positive cases, compared to 249 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 9.6%, with 24 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 65.8, compared to 72.8 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.

London as a whole had 3,451 new cases during the week of March 8 to 14, which represents 38.5 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 32,811 new cases during the same week, correlating to 58.3 cases per 100,000 people.
