THE University of West London (UWL) will be hosting a free event giving people all the insight about making it in the broadcast industry.

Partnering with Westside Radio, UWL will host the Breaking Into Radio & TV Industry Panel Event tomorrow, March 23 at 6:30pm.

The online industry panel session will put aspiring creatives in touch with the people at the heart of the TV and radio industries who can share their own stories, and offer advice and tips on starting out.

Hear from ITV and BBC presenter Ria Hebden, Radio 1's Fee Mak, Jasmine Takhar from the BBC Asian Network, Talksport presenter Steve Forbes and BBC presenter Jamil Foster – all streamed live with host Rude DJ.

As well as offering a unique insight into the industry and advice on making different skills stand out, the panellists will answer questions and share their own broadcasting success stories.

Professor Anthony Woodman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at UWL, said: "At UWL, we are focused on getting students into rewarding careers, making sure they all have the expert skills and training needed to stand out when it matters most.

"Working with Westside Radio we're able to deliver another great opportunity for anyone looking to launch their own careers in the industry to hear from the people on the inside and see how their own talent and experiences can propel them to the next level."
