Sam's Kitchen in Chiswick has opened for its soft opening last week (26 March) where it was offering customers 50% off meals to welcome diners to the brunch spot.

Previously, Harrison had opened his first ever restaurant, Sam's Brassiere, in Chiswick back in 2005, which closed after 10 years of service.

Sam's Kitchen serves as a revival of where it all started.

And what better way to do that then by bringing Chiswick feel good breakfast dishes.

The restaurant is fresh, modern and cozy yet spacious as it managed to fill the lunchtime wave of stomachs in and around the area.

The touch of flower decorations and paintings gave the eatery that bit of character a new restaurant needs.

My favourite part of the design has to be the large windows which let in an immense amount of natural light which on a sunny day will only elevate the place.

Despite it being just myself, I only had to wait five minutes to be seated by a member of staff – who was none other than Sam Harrison himself, which adds an extra touch to the dining experience.

Like any traditional cafe or breakfast spot, the table has tissues, cutlery and sauces (Ketchup and HP sauce) even though the restaurant's outward appearance is high end.

I ordered Sam's Kitchen Bacon & Egg Brioche which comes with Emmental cheese and Sriracha sauce as well as a Black Americano.

The wait time for the breakfast sandwich took no more than 10 minutes despite me being prepared to wait a while as it was a full house.

As I mentioned earlier, there was cutlery already on the table but my hunger dove straight in with my hands, causing the yolk of the fried egg to trickle out – just how I like my eggs.

The brioche was soft yet firm, the bacon crispy and smoky, the fried egg not overcooked, and the melted Emmental cheese giving a slight sweetness to the sandwich.

But it was the sriracha that surprised me with its slightly tangy kick in every bite.

Sam's take on the bacon and egg sandwich was just what I expected from an egg sandwich but was pleasantly surprised by the addition of siracha sauce.

My only complaint is that I didn't order another one!

A couple next to me ordered Hot Smoked Trout with Charlotte Potato Salad, Chiswick House Herbs & Horseradish from the lunch plates served from 12pm to 3pm.

They said they loved how it was presented and the dish was great.

Usually Sam's Kitchen Bacon & Egg Brioche would cost £9 (£4.5 with the 50% off) which is fair price for a breakfast sandwich of done right.

Sam's Kitchen in Chiswick also serves a dessert of the day which I did not try but must come back to do so.

The new restaurant will enjoy its soft opening launch until 31 March and the official opening is on Tuesday, 2 April.

The first 50 guests to arrive on 2 and 3 April will receive a free dish of Lemon and Ricotta Hotcakes with Poached Yorkshire Rhubarb – don't miss it!
