Events coming up in Ealing

Thursday: Ealing Art Group Summer Exhibition at Gunnersbury

An electric mix of subject and media from local artists with a dedicated affordable art and craft section.

Open Tuesday - Sunday 10am-4.30pm.

Friday: Hangmen

The Olivier award-winning dark comedy...

There is a bit more life in the air at the local Hangman's family pub - and it's not down to the quirky cronies at the bar. Today, hanging has been abolished. For good.

With Harry's face plastered across the front pages, his status as second best hangman and local celebrity continues to thrive. But when a menacing young Londoner strolls up to the bar, something says he's after more than a pint and a bag of peanuts… Harry may have hung up the noose for good, but will he ever wash one man's blood off his hands?

Written by Oscar award-winner Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Three Billboards) this wickedly funny satire fuses an undeniably dark tale with the mundanity of Northern pub life, undercut with McDonagh's idiosyncratic humour. Set in 1960s Lancashire, this fast paced dark comedy will grip you until the bitter end.

Saturday: Axis Mvndi - Cosmic Radio Sculptures

Axis Mvndi is a device that sends radio waves in space in order to draw shapes at a cosmic scale. By playing on the movement of a dish antenna, ancient cosmological models are materialized into space and become autonomous shapes in infinite movement.

The installation is centered around a motorized 2m parabolic dish antenna. This antenna is rotating continuously, broadcasting waves in the desired direction to achieve the drawing of a cosmological form.

Sunday: The Trash & Treasure Vintage Market

Over 30 local traders to browse with delicious street food stalls to fuel you while shopping.

Expect face painting for the kids and a disco gazebo, plus the Ealing Repair Cafe are joining the T&T Crew, so bring along clothes for mending and find out how to repair, patch & darn from the ladies who know.

Watermans Arts Centre is the Ealing Nub News What's On sponsor. Without community-minded partners like Watermans we would not be able to produce the locally-relevant, clickbait-free news to the people of Ealing.
