Events coming up in Ealing

Thursday: ZooLab Animal Innovators

ZooLab's summer tale is all about innovation! In fact, the most innovative invention in town will win the Earthshot prize and all of our animals are in the running. Will the invention based on nature (biomimicry) win and help save the planet? Or will our baddy, the Enemy, succeed in sabotage... This workshop features live animals, so be amazed, educated and inspired through Zoolab's ethical and engaging hands on animal encounters.

Thursday: Summer Live at Ealing Broadway

'Summer Live' stage in Town Square will play host to fantastic live music every Thursday afternoon and evening, starting on 21st July from 3-7pm.

Thursday: Grove Farm Photography Salon with Nigel Bewley

We are delighted to be hosting another photography salon with Nigel Bewley, a professional photographer based in Ealing who specialises in nature photography. If you are a member of Ealing Wildlife Group or Warren Farm Nature Reserve, you are sure to have seen his stunning wildlife shots.

The photography salon is a chance to learn some tips from Nigel and immediately practice them by exploring Grove Farm nature reserve with Nigel's expertise on hand to help you learn as you go. The salon is open to all, no matter your ability or camera. All you need is a phone with a camera!

We'll meet by the Whitton Avenue entrance at 7pm and enjoy wandering around Grove Farm photographing for 2 hours. From 8.15pm, dusk, we will join up with the bat walk and look for bats.

There are only 10 spaces to keep the salon small and intimate. Please only book if you can come. It takes away opportunities from other people if you book and don't turn up. At previous events we've had full bookings and then 50% haven't turned up. Of course, life happens so if you book and then find you cannot come, please cancel so we can give the place to someone else.

Thursday: Grove Farm Bat Walk

Come join us as we look for bats over Grove Farm. Vanessa Hampton, who leds bat walks over both Ealing and Hounslow will be taking us round the nature reserve and we will use bat detectors to search for bats. Trying to identify their species as we go.

The bat walk is free and all are welcome. We'll meet at the Whitton Avenue West Entrance to Grove Farm at dusk, 20.15.

Please take care as you walk through Grove Farm. There are not any lights in the park and the paths are uneven.

Thursday: Greenford Quay Summer Series – Summer of Soul

We're bringing fun events to Greenford Quay all summer long!

Our Summer Screenings are returning to the Amphitheatre in Grenan Square this August. With movies aired on our outdoor screen by the canal, in the afternoon and in the evening.

This year's curation of films falls under the theme 'culture' as we celebrate and embrace heritage and traditions that are so dear to us.

Bring a blanket and a friend and make yourself at home. There's something for everyone, from family favourites to modern blockbusters.

On the day, there will be a pop-up drinks stand for you to enjoy refreshing beverages, or you can grab a summer Frappuccino from our onsite Starbucks.

Football-mad Jess is 18, smart, beautiful and can bend a ball better than any boy she knows. She's set her heart on playing for a top women's footie team, but there's one problem: her strict parents want her to settled or with a nice Indian boy and learn how to cook! Flying in the face of her parents' disapproval, Jess and her best mate Jules make a name for themselves in the Beautiful Game, but then love rears its head for them both in the form of their fit (in more ways than one) coach Joe.

The screening is free to attend, but registering is recommended.
