1. The Anniversary by Bill MacIlwraith - Questors Theatre

Meet the mother in law from hell! (credit: Questors Theatre).

About: It's London, 1966, and Mum has summoned the family to celebrate her wedding anniversary, as she does every year despite Dad being long-since dead.

The sharp-tongued matriarch is used to calling the shots as the head of the family business and regularly tugs on the apron strings to get her own way.

It's supposed to be her day, but her sons arrive with surprise revelations threaten to ruin it and challenge her dominance – if they are brave enough to face down her caustic wit.

This hilarious horror comedy was famously adapted into a film starring Bette Davis as the conniving mother from hell.

When: 17th Jan 2025 - 25th Jan 2025

Where: 12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ.

2. Posh by Laura Wade - Questors Theatre

This Questors Theatre production is running until next month, don't miss out! (credit: Questors Theatre).

About: An exclusive Oxford University secret society, The Riot Club, is gearing up for a lavish night at a countryside pub.

This clique of silver-spoon boys is ready to let loose after a former member's scandal landed them in hot water with the press.

As they vow to make up for lost time with the messiest of celebrations, arrogance and entitlement give way to chaos.

From Olivier Award winning playwright, Laura Wade, Posh is a witty satire on the Bullingdon Club and classism in Britain.

When: 24th Jan 2025 - 1st Feb 2025

Where: 12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ.

3. Language of the Physical - Pitzhanger Gallery

Language of the Physical runs until March 2025 (credit: Pizthanger Gallery).

About: A retrospective of Katherine Gili's sculptures launched at Pitzhanger Manor this month spanning 40 years of the award winning artist's career.

Gili, who forges forms from steel and paper sculptures is a protégée of the legendary Anthony Caro, who himself exhibited at Pitzhanger last year.

Language of the Physical: Katherine Gili Sculpture brings together a range of sculptures demonstrating her shift from the industrial aesthetic of steel sculpture to an increasingly sensual approach to abstract form.

Gili's sculptures are held in prominent collections, including Arts Council and Henry Moore Institute.

Her sculpture Vertical IV (1975) was recently displayed for the first time at Tate Britain as part of their ongoing collection display, Modern and Contemporary British Art (1965–1980), highlighting Gili's significant contribution to British sculpture.
