Met Police appoints a new commander for Ealing, Hillingdon and Hounslow

The Met Police has appointed a new Basic Command Unit (BCU) Commander for West Area covering the boroughs of Ealing, Hillingdon and Hounslow.

Chief Superintendent Horsfall is the new commander who joined the force in 1998 and has spent the majority of her career on uniformed front line policing roles.

Reacting to the announcement, she said: "I am delighted to be leading policing on West Area, I will be collaborating with partners to deliver a truly excellent service for all residents of West Area."

Chief Superintendent Horsfall replaces Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner.
