Ealing Nub News has reached out to every prospective Northolt Mandeville ward by-election candidate asking them to introduce themselves to the area and our readers.

In the run up to the by-elections on Thursday, 10 October Ealing Nub News will ask each candidate more questions relating to local issues and topics.

Prior to the general election, the Northolt Mandeville seat had been held by Deirdre Costigan (Labour Party). However, the then councillor was elected MP for Ealing Southall. She had been a councillor for the area since 2018.

Northolt Mandeville Ward Candidates:

  • Andrew Bailey (Conservative)
  • Pedro Da Conceicao (Liberal Democrats)
  • Natalia Kubica (Green Party)
  • Conrad Lewandowski (Reform UK)
  • Dominion Henry Theo Moffitt (Labour Party)
  • Eltayeb Omima (Workers Party of Britain)

Conrad Lewandowski (Reform UK)

Conrad Lewandowski says 'local people feel ignored' by the current council and that 'only Reform UK is offering real change' (credit: Conrad Lewandowski).

Standing for Reform UK, Conrad Lewandowski, said: "I'm a local resident and a data analyst by profession. My grandfather came to England after the Second World War, and I take great pride in the strong military tradition of our area, including the Polish War Memorial just outside the ward.

"I strongly believe in the values of freedom, aspiration, and patriotism. My other grandfather was a Labour councillor and I understand how many traditional Labour voters feel like the party no longer represents these values.

"For me, this is not a stepping stone to a Parliamentary career. I am standing for the council because I believe residents deserve better than what the current Labour administration is offering.

"I have lived locally in the borough since 2022 and have experienced many of the issues that matter to residents, such as anti-social behaviour, the impact of Labour's ULEZ expansion, and a lack of healthcare provision.

"Despite the previous councillor for Northolt Mandeville serving as deputy leader, local people feel ignored by an out of touch and complacent Labour-run council. Only Reform UK is offering real change."

Pedro Da Conceicao (Liberal Democrats)

Pedro Da Conceicao, Liberal Democrats candidate for Northolt Mandeville, said: "I have always lived in the Ealing Borough. My main concerns are a raising level of crime in the borough and the poor management of Ealing's council homes.

"I am motivated by seeing people's quality of life improving and making a fairer and more equal Ealing.

"I have lived and gone to school in the borough and therefore understand the issues and concerns of local people.

"I ran a community focussed action campaign during the general election to try and incorporate the views of the local community in parliament.

"I would say the Northolt Mandeville ward has a serious issue with crime and gangs. The ward needs better management of police resources and a more comprehensive youth club system.

"I love the diversity in our borough that helps us thrive and do understand the differences that we share."

Natalia Kubica (Green Party)

Natalia Kubica joined the Green Party after the 2019 general election because 'it's the only party that truly understands the link between environmental justice and social justice' (credit: Green Party).

Natalia Kubica, Green Party candidate for Northolt Mandeville, said: "I am honoured to have the privilege to be standing as the Green Party candidate for Northolt Mandeville ward.

"I have been an environmental campaigner from a young age, having also campaigned on issues from Free School Meals to healthcare access to Palestine. I joined the Green Party just after the 2019 General Election because it's the only party that truly understands the link between environmental justice and social justice, and that meaningful change begins at a local level.

"As the Green Party candidate for Ealing North in this year's General Election, I had the pleasure of speaking to local residents and campaigners and learning more about the issues facing our community. Having lived in the Northolt area my whole life, one of the things I've grown to love about it is the sense of community.

"I coordinated mutual aid efforts here during the Covid-19 lockdowns and it was amazing to see people working together to support the most vulnerable in our community.

"As your Councillor, my priorities would be championing renters' rights, fighting for energy efficiency including by insulating homes, and protecting our green spaces.

"I am committed to ensuring all of Northolt Mandeville's residents have a powerful voice representing them."

The Labour Party, Conservative Party and Workers Party of Britain have been approached for comment.
