Candidates revealed for three ward by-elections in Ealing

The candidates standing for election onto Ealing Council have been announced following the resignations of three ex-Counsellors who became MPs in the General Election.

The three wards that will be contested are Hangar Hill, Northolt Mandeville and South Acton.

Hangar Hill:

  • Kate Crossland (The Green Party)
  • Sean Hanrahan (Conservatives)
  • Guneet Singh Malik (Labour Party)
  • Jonathan Mark Oxley (Liberal Democrat)
  • Fabio Pukaj (Reform UK)
  • Wagdi Thabit (Workers Party of Britain)

Greg Stafford (Conservative), previously held the seat in Hangar Hill, and was Leader of the Conservative Group until July 4, when he was elected MP for Farnham and Bordon, in Surrey.

Northolt Mandeville:

  • Andrew Bailey (Conservative)
  • Pedro Da Conceicao (Liberal Democrat)
  • Natalia Kubica (The Green Party)
  • Conrad Lewandowski (Reform UK)
  • Dominion Henry Theo Moffitt (Labour Party)
  • Eltayeb Omima (Workers Party of Britain)

Prior to the General Election, the seat had been held by Deirdre Costigan (Labour Party). However, the then Councillor was elected MP for Ealing Southall. She had been a councillor for Northolt Mandeville since 2018.

South Acton:

  • Julie Carter (Independent)
  • Lucas Davies Herbst (Workers Party of Britain)
  • Katie Lynn Douglas (Labour Party)
  • David Lawrence Hofman (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition)
  • Timothy William Bailey Hughes (Liberal Democrat)
  • Marco Manassero (Reform UK)
  • Kristian Mower (Conservative)
  • Andrew John Walkley (The Green Party)

The previous councillor for South Acton, Callum Anderson (Labour Party), resigned his seat following his election of MP for Buckingham and Bletchley. He had been a councillor since 2022.
