Man dies after being hit by car in Southall

A MAN has died after being hit by a car in Southall and the driver has been arrested as a result.

The collision occurred in the early hours of May 4 (around 3:10am), when the 49-year-old victim was struck by the car on Lady Margaret Road.

The driver did not stop at the scene but was later located by officers and arrested for failing to stop at the scene of a collision and on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The police are urging any witnesses who they haven't yet spoken to, to make themselves known by calling 101 and quoting the reference number CAD603/04MAY.
