AWARD-WINNING filmmaker, Vikram Jayanti, will be holding an online talk at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery next week, discussing his life and work.

The Indian-American filmmaker is known for feature documentary portraits of cultural icons, such as Abraham Lincoln, Muhammad Ali, Britney Spears and Uri Geller.

In a long career of making award-winning cinematic documentary films, which have led him to winning an Oscar, Vikram has uncovered the inner psychodramas of the great, the good and the downright monstrous.

This talk is part of a series of conversations with contemporary thinkers called Pitzhanger Perspectives, which launched in March and is inspired by Sir John Soane's use of Pitzhanger as a forum for interesting encounters and enlightening debate.

The Film Studies tutor at UCL will discuss what happens behind the scenes and what really goes into shaping the stories he seeks out with films.

The talk will be held at 6:30pm next Tuesday, May 18, with tickets costing £7.
