Man charged in Ealing murder investigation

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Ealing have charged a man.

On Sunday, 24 July, a 58-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Late on Monday, 25 July he was charged with murder.

Timothy Simon, 58 (09.08.1963) of Ray Walk, Islington will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday, 26 July) charged with murder.

Police were called at 11:55pm on Saturday, 23 July, to a man suffering stab injuries inside the Star & Scorpion pub on Uxbridge Road, W13.

Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues.

The 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's family have been informed and they will be supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course.
