SINCE last week, indoor venues have been allowed to reopen their doors throughout Ealing and the country.

These venues are putting on many different events, which you can find on our newly revamped What's On section.

Our top pick for this week involves one of Ealing's most famous attractions, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, which is putting on a new exhibition called, 'This is Ealing'.

You can explore a unique insight into the lives and experiences of Ealing residents during the pandemic.

From humour to sorrow, creativity to kindness, tragedy to hope, this exhibition of photographs taken by people across Ealing is a personal record of an extraordinary time.

Showing nearly 200 photographs taken across Ealing, the exhibition presents a genuine insight into the collective experience of our local community over the past year.

These range from a restorative return to nature with the growing of vegetables from seed for the first time to keen gardening at the allotments, tender moments with a newborn premature baby in hospital, a letter from the London Ambulance Service thanking a little girl for lending her father to care for patients, a distribution project undertaken by the Young Ealing Foundation and Southall Community Alliance, affectionate portraits of family and friends and neighbours enthusiastically clapping for carers.

The exhibition opens tomorrow (May 27) and will run until June 6 and is free for Ealing residents.

Pitzhanger is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm, excluding Thursdays when it closes at 7pm.
