AHEAD of National Bike Week next week (May 30 – June 5), Ealing Broadway shopping centre has officially opened its new facility, Ride&Park.

It's located on the ground floor next to Chantal Café in St Saviour's Walk and the new facility offers visitors a safe space to store their bikes and scooters for free for up to 48 hours.

Ealing Central and Acton MP, Rupa Huq, was on hand to open the facility, alongside Ealing Broadway's Centre Director, Andrew Rollings.

Ride&Park is fitted with CCTV cameras and provides 48 bike spaces and 10 scooter spaces, as well as folding bike lockers and a repair station.

Ealing Broadway has also partnered with Ealing Cycling Campaign, who have created a map of recommended cycling paths to the centre and Ride&Park facility.

Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing Broadway, said: "Our new state of the art Ride&Park facility not only offers visitors plenty of space to safely store their bikes or scooters at Ealing Broadway, it also helps our locals keep their wheels in tip-top condition.

"We're looking forward to seeing our local community making the most of our new offering this summer."

Martin Gorst, Council Liaison at Ealing Cycling Campaign, added: "It's fantastic that Ealing Broadway have invested in the new Ride&Park facility so cyclists can enjoy a day out at the centre knowing their bike is safe and secure."

"Cycling can be a great way to catch up with family and friends while enjoying the sights of London, and with summer just around the corner there is no better way to explore your local area."

Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton, said: "Last Friday (May 21) I was pleased to officially open Ealing Broadway shopping centre's Ride&Park ahead of National Bike Week.

"It's a brilliant initiative and will contribute to Ealing's green recovery."
