Ealing Council are helping residents to celebrate the upcoming Coronation by helping to fund street parties across the borough.

The Coronation of King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, will occur on 6th May and communities are being invited to come together and celebrate the occasion and Ealing Council are hoping to encourage people to celebrate with their communities.

Those planning parties can request a grant of up to £150 if they apply prior to 7th April and they are also waiving the fees required to host a street party.

Council leader, councillor Peter Mason said: "The King's coronation will be a special moment, and a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together. There is a role for everyone, even if you haven't been involved in something like this before.

"Neighbours and communities had such a wonderful time celebrating the Queen's Jubilee last year, I hope residents take advantage of the chance to do so again this year to mark this historic event."

Advice about how to throw a street party to mark the occasion can be found on the council's website
