A LOCAL Ealing charity is on the lookout for businesses and volunteers to help out with its summer camp for children on free school meals and from low socio-economic backgrounds.

The Znaniye Foundation will be hosting the Ealing Borough Summer Camp later this year, which will offer children the chance to socialise, experience new activities and gain the opportunity to learn new skills – as well as being given a nutritious meal.

Following the success of its Easter Holiday Programme which took place in April, the Znaniye Foundation is running the camp for the full month of August.

In order to make the most of the opportunity however, the charity needs the community's help.

They're looking for restaurants, coffee shops or wholesales who would be considerate enough to support them with providing lunches, be it every day, or just as a one-off donation.

The food goes directly to the people and children of the community who need it most.

They're also looking for volunteers, who can help out on several days working with the children and organising the distribution of food.

As well as this, the Foundation is also on the hunt for people of organisations that can run sessions or shows, such as magicians, science teachers, sports providers and dance teachers.

During the Easter Camp, the Flying Seagull project put on a circus performance, which was a hit with both the children and the staff.

Equally, the charity is also in need of materials and equipment - resources that people can donate, such as paper, colouring, pencils, paints, footballs, bibs, etc.

Anything that can be donated will be appreciated and used, so if you're able, please consider donating to the charity and their efforts to provide a vital service to our community.

If you can help in any way, please get in touch with the Znaniye Foundation by emailing [email protected] or by calling 07545325930.
