EALING Broadway shopping centre's giant giving box, which was originally installed for Christmas, will now become a permanent feature at the mall in a bid to help raise even more funds for charity.

Located on the ground floor outside Clarks, visitors can use contactless payment and donate £1, £3 or £5 to the two chosen charities, Ealing Mencap and BEfriend Ealing.

So far the giant giving box has helped raise £1,700.

Centre Director at Ealing Broadway, Andrew Rollings, said: "Our community really got behind the giving box at Christmas, and so we're thrilled to announce that shoppers are able to continue supporting both Ealing Mencap and BEfriend Ealing quickly and safely when they come to visit.

"Donations are vital in ensuring the teams at Ealing Mencap and BEfriend Ealing continue the invaluable work they do in the local area, and so we'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our visitors for their support."

The shopping centre welcomed back visitors last week as it re-opened non-essential stores, with many eager shoppers queueing up outside stores like Primark, H&M and River Island.
