EALING Broadway shopping centre has installed a giant giving box to raise money for two charities in the run up to Christmas.

It's located outside Tesco and people can donate using contactless payment, with the proceeds going to two local charities, Ealing Befriend and Ealing MENCAP.

BEfriend was set up in 1994 and supports people who are extremely isolated from society, with no regular visitors or places to go.

The team match them with trained volunteers who support them to participate in activities that improve their wellbeing.

MENCAP was set up in 1965 and offers services to people with learning disabilities that enable them to make friends, develop life skills, find work and be part of their communities.
