Today's weather: Highs of 15 degrees and lows of 11 degrees, heavy rain changing to cloudy by late morning, according to the met office, with wind gusts between 40 – 19 mph.

Traffic: AA traffic issued a heavy rain warning on the A406 North Circular both ways between Southend Road and Abbey Parade.

Traffic signal failure on A40 Western Avenue at A4000 Horn Lane (Gypsy Corner). Approach with care. The crossover is closed for safety, so Horn Lane traffic has to turn onto the A40.
