EALING has seen a decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases, following a slight increase last week.
Specifically, there was a decrease of over 1% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.
In the week of April 26 to May 2, Ealing saw 116 new positive cases, compared to 118 the week before.
That figure represents a decrease of 1.7%, with two fewer new cases.
That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 33.9, compared to 34.5 the week before.
Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.
London as a whole had 1,614 new cases during the week of April 26 to May 2, which represents 18.0 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
England saw 11,985 new cases during the same week, correlating to 21.3 cases per 100,000 people.
