EALING has seen an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases, following a small decrease last week.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 11% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of April 19 to 25, Ealing saw 118 new positive cases, compared to 106 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 11.3%, with 12 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 34.5, compared to 31.0 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 2,082 new cases during the week of April 19 to 25, which represents 23.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 13,374 new cases during the same week, correlating to 23.8 cases per 100,000 people.
