Mastering the Art of Watercolour

OPEN Ealing Arts Centre School Lane Dickens Yard Ealing W5 2

11th Jan 2022 - 8th Feb 2022

UNTIL Tuesday 8th February

The Courtauld has a plethora of great watercolour artists from whom we can learn and draw inspiration. During the five week course we shall explore their style and influences and use our findings to inform our own practice. Each week Gail leads us in a technical exercise on our way to mastering the art of watercolour. Once we have completed the exercises we move on to our main painting and leave the class knowing a little more about the great masters, the techniques they used and how we can incorporate them in our work.

Each week we provide support notes so that you can explore the artist at home. We send them to you before the class so you can bring the right equipment. Don't worry we also give you a hard copy for the session. We also share any links of video clips that Gail shows in class so you can refer to them again.

You don't need to be an expert to enjoy the course, but you'll get more from it if you have some experience in painting with watercolours. We limit our class sizes to twelve. This means that you not only benefit from personal tuition but also enjoy peer support.
