COP26 Day of Action for Climate Justice
Outside the Bank of England, central London EC2R 8AH
UNTIL Saturday 6th November
11 days to start of COP26!
What is COP26?
COP26 is the international summit in Glasgow on climate change. See https://www.greenpeace.org.uk/news/everything-need-to-know-cop26-climate-conference-glasgow/
COP26 may the last chance to save us from catastrophic climate change. The United Nations has held climate change conferences since the early 1990's but in that time CO2 emissions have continued to soar upwards. This year's conference is number 26 and will be held in the UK. Time is running out. Empty government promises about what they will do in 2030 or 2050, while they continue to subsidise oil and expand roads won't wash. For the sake of our children, we need a rapid transition to a just and sustainable economy, starting now.
The central London march, supported by numerous environmental organisations, starts at 12 noon from outside the Bank of England, marching to Trafalgar Square for a rally at 3pm. https://cop26coalition.org
