Danger comes knocking...

April 1939. Peter and Suzy's quiet life in Provence seems far removed from the political hotbed of Europe, but their peace is interrupted when war comes knocking on their door – literally. 

If Peter is not the simple painter he seemed to be, then who is he? Why is he suddenly flush with cash? And where did their neighbour disappear to? Suzy is left reeling but determined to find the truth. 

Set against the backdrop of a world on the road to war, this thriller moves with the intensity of an approaching army and never gives away its next move.
