Responses to immigration lecture

Responses to Immigration - A talk by Jonathan Oates

This talk looks at how residents of Ealing have reacted towards arrivals from overseas in the 1920s to the 1970s. Many people from Asia and Africa arrived in Ealing in this period, especially after 1945 and this was an unprecedented influx. Residents responded to the new arrivals in many different ways, from hostility to acceptance to being welcoming.
