Two fans of Hanwell Town have completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Gabriel Dixon-Hardy and Roxy Elson completed the 24-mile, 1500 metre climb to raise money for the breast cancer charity who had helped Dixon-Hardy's mother during her diagnosis.

The walk tackles three different mountains: Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park North of Leeds and is a common fund-raising challenge in which people look to complete the trek in under 12 hours.

Dixon-Hardy and Elson were looking to raise £800 and at present have raised £675 and have been assisted by the Geordies who have shared their Just Giving campaign and encouraged fans to support them.

Breast Cancer Now are a breast cancer charity who provide care and support for those impacted by breast cancer and also carry out research to find ways to prevent and save those who are living with it.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there will be plenty of events across the month as people show support for those affected by breast cancer.
