10-man Hanwell Town came out on top of a five-goal thriller as they held on to beat Tiverton Town 3-2 away from home.
Kain Adom opened the scoring in the first half, before Callum Duffy doubled their lead and Adom even made it three at the break.
It was certainly a game of two halves as Tiverton came back into the game when Kane Simpson tapped home before Jamie Richards made it a nervy end, but the Geordies held on to take all three points.
Hanwell were rewarded for their over 360-mile round trip by taking all three points and moving up to 11th in the Southern League Premier South table, now just six points off the play-offs.
The Geordies raced into the lead as after just six minutes a poor backwards header from Josh Jones was latched onto by the visitors and the ball was squared across to Adom, who had the simplest of tasks to finish.
Tiverton could have struck back quickly as a dangerous corner was swung in and met by Lucas Vowles, but his header drifted narrowly wide of the mark.
Hanwell capitalised after 15 minutes and doubled their advantage as a free-kick went over the head of Jones to Duffy and he nodded superbly into the back of the net.
Straight from the restart Tiverton went down the Hanwell end as Nial Thompson got forward from right-back and lashed a shot over the bar.
After 35 minutes Lewis Williams woefully under hit a back pass and allowed Adom through on the goalkeeper, who he coolly rounded and tapped into the gaping net.
The Geordies had a chance to extend their lead as Jacob Gardiner-Smith found space, but the pitch deceived him with a bobble and his shot was comfortably saved by Lewis Williams.
Just after the hour mark there was hope for the hosts as a mazy dribble from Dylan Jones on the left saw him get beyond several defenders and produce an inch perfect ball to Simpson, who put through the net.
This goal spurred Tiverton on and with 12 minutes remaining River Allen delivered a fine cross into Richards, who was up from the back, and a powerful header meant Hanwell were in for a nervy finish.
Thompson was slipped in behind the Hanwell back line and pushed his shot beyond the 'keeper, but with Tiverton fans already cheering it rolled wide of the post.
The Geordies were then reduced to ten when Louis Morison was brought down right outside the box and Mat Mackenzie received his second booking, but they managed to hold on and claim the victory.
