Danny Rowe's goals either side of half-time moved Hanwell Town back into the Southern League Premier South play-off places following a 2-1 win over Dorchester Town at Reynolds Field.
Rowe opened the scoring midway through the first half before being pegged back on the stroke of half time.
After retaking the lead through Rowe's second, there were chances at both ends but neither side took them and the Geordies claimed all three points.
Victory here sent Hanwell back into the play-offs, four points behind table topping Weston Super Mare.
The Geordies could have taken the lead in the opening minute of the match when Jack Hutchinson took aim from the edge of the penalty area, but he sent it just wide.
Shomari Barnwell then got in behind after being played in by a flicked header and forced a strong save out of the Dorchester 'keeper, who was forced to concede a corner.
Hugo Sobte set off an attack from the back as he clipped the ball out to the right to set Isaac Olurunfemi away and he picked out Barnwell who put it just wide.
Then on 25 minutes the Geordies took the lead as George Nicholas latched onto a bouncing loose ball in midfield and headed Rowe in behind, who confidently dragged the ball to left and rounded Harry Lee before tapping into the empty net.
It could have been two ten minutes later when Harry Rush received the ball just inside his own half and pinged a long ball out to Rowe, who took it down well and then fainted both ways to shake off his marker and tried an audacious chip that Lee just managed to flick away from danger.
Dorchester then had a golden chance to level as a cross from the right was knocked down by Matt Neale to Alfie Stanley who scythed it over the bar.
But right before half-time the equaliser came as a free-kick from deep was allowed all the way through to the back post and Dorchester scrambled it across for Stanley to force in on the line.
Hanwell would have been disappointed to go into the break level but Dorchester could even have had the lead when Sobte was forced into a good save as a free-kick was hit low to the 'keeper's side.
On 65 minutes Hanwell retook the lead as Olorunfemi drove into the box and laid it back for Rowe to bag his second of the afternoon.
The game became bitty from then on in, with most chances coming from set pieces, but Hanwell saw it out to claim the points and are in action again this evening with a trip to Bracknell Town.
