Sharks and seahorses are among the unusual creatures which live in the Tidal Thames, according to a new report checking the health of the river's ecosystem.
Species of shark including tope, starry smooth hound and spurdog, can be found in the river, along with short-nosed seahorses, eels and seals.

Ealing's favourite Christmas card retailer, the Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop (ECCCS), opened its doors this week for its 37th year at the Church of Christ the Saviour, New Broadway.
The unique shop is one of the few charity card stores where 100% of the money raised goes to charity.

Planting has started at Katherine Buchan Meadow in Ealing of 1,000 bulbs that were brought with vouchers won by Olde Hanwell residents from last year's Christmas Illuminations competition.
Ealing residents in Olde Hanwell nabbed second place for their spectacular window displays in the Christmas Illumination Street competition last year, winning £200 worth of British Garden Centres vouchers.

Many people who want to support the Poppy Appeal are struggling again this year because of the increasing number of outlets which are now cashless since the pandemic.
Shops, supermarkets and pubs in Ealing still have their traditional boxes and pins on the bar or at the check-out but few people carry any loose change to purchase a poppy.
People wishing to pay their respects are being reminded about events taking place in Ealing to commemorate Remembrance Day.
On Remembrance Sunday the country will stop to commemorate the sacrifice of our armed forces, past and present.

A massive new tower has been approved in West London despite over 2,500 people writing letters in protest.
The 20-storey block was approved by an independent planning inspector, even though it was rejected by Ealing Council last year.

A second man has been charged in connection with the investigation into the murder of Mohamed Muhiyidin from Southall, Ealing.
Charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a firearm with intent to commit violence and assisting an offender, Mohammed Ilyas Shakeel, 28, of Cape Close, Barking appeared at court on Monday, 8 November.
