Ealing Council will be moving forward with plans to make 2 of its 9 Low-Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) permanent despite opposition to the schemes from people living near them.
The Council is set to progress with the Adrienne Avenue LTN and the Deans Road and Montague Avenue LTN schemes, it revealed in a post on its website yesterday (16 August).

The majority of Ealing residents do not support LTNs in the borough, new data shows.
Residents of 7 out of 9 Low Traffic Neighbourhood roads in the borough strongly oppose the schemes, according to data from an Ealing Council consultation released yesterday (16 August).

Ealing police have put out a social media appeal as a man from Southall has been missing for over a week.

An Ealing student who founded his own orchestra as a teenager has achieved international acclaim for pieces that he wrote while at university last year.
London College of Music(LCM) student Blazej Mokrzak, who set up a chamber orchestra at the age of 16, picked up two prestigious awards at competitions in Europe and the USA this summer for work he wrote while completing his BMus (Hons) Composition (Film/Theatre).
THIS week marks a decade since the London riots which took place between August 6-11 2011, and affected Ealing as well.
It is widely believed that the riots first started in Tottenham, after a black man, Mark Duggan, was killed by a police officer on August 4.

EALING Council has announced a by-election for Hobbayne ward, after former Labour councillor Lewis Cox resigned in May.
Mr Cox called Ealing Labour a 'toxic brand' after tendering his resignation in May, following the selection of the council's new leader Peter Mason.

AFTER a difficult academic year affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Year 11 students at St Benedict's School in Ealing have been celebrating their excellent GCSE results earlier today (August 12).
Students received an incredible number of 9-7 grades (formerly A*/A), with 73.1%, while over half of grades (51.1%) were 9-8 (formerly A*).
