Events coming up in Ealing
Thursday: A walk along the River Brent
Meet the Brent River & Canal Society (BRCS) by the entrance of Gurnell Leisure Centre for a walk along the canal to Warren Farm Nature Reserve.
Spend time with like-minded nature lovers and learn about the river's recent history, including vital river restoration and rewilding in Ealing. Expect to see the myriad wonderful wildlife the Brent River supports, including dragonflys, moor hens, coots with their fabulous big blue feet and, with a stroke of luck, the blue flash of a kingfisher.
The walk will be approximately 3.5 miles, after which there will be an exploration of the nature reserve. People are welcome to skip the walk and join at Warren Farm Nature Reserve – meet the group outside the Fox Inn at 8pm.
Friday: Tony Bowen @ The Grosvenor
Located in the heart of Hanwell, The Grosvenor is an Edwardian corner pub with a large beer garden, serving a wide range of craft beers, seasonal ales, premium spirits and fine wines.
On Friday catch live music from Tony Bowen at this charming family pub.
Saturday: The Importance of Being Earnest
To mark 76 years since the Questors Student Group was founded, the theatre brings to Ealing the most highly acclaimed of Oscar Wilde's classics, The Importance of Being Earnest.
Wilde's comic tale follows bachelors Algernon Moncrieff and Jack Worthing as they create alter egos to escape their tedious existence. In an attempt to win the hearts of two young women, they soon get caught up in their own deceit, where the layers of mistaken identity confuse and bewilder all involved.
Featuring some of Wilde's most memorable and eccentric characters, this delightful mockery of Victorian sensibilities has plenty of twists and turns, throwing love, logic and language into the air.
Saturday: FoxMarketW7 – Makers & Vintage Market
