Thursday: Off The Chest – Spoken Word Poetry Night
Off The Chest is an explosive spoken word and poetry night, celebrating original voices and poetry that makes a statement. Don't miss their return to The Questors Theatre, after their smash hit night back in February 2020.
Featuring acclaimed poets Ankita Saxena and the award-winning spoken word artist Woodzy (as featured on BBC Radio 1Extra & Sky Arts).
Hosted by poets Ella Dorman-Gajic and Iftikhar Latif, Off The Chest champions community within the poetry world. They have hosted multiple nights to sell-out audiences, across London. Officially funded by Arts Council England.
Thursday: Portrait Painting – Short Course
Join this short course on Portrait Painting, working in oils, water mixable oils or acrylics with an art tutor.
Taking place on Thursday evenings for 6 weeks, you will learn set up, composition, colour mixing, shadow shapes and more.
Classes will take place in Hanwell Community Centre, 7:30-9:30pm.
Friday: Comedy Night at the Brentham Club
On Friday evening The Brentham Club is hosting its comedy club.
With Kate Smurthwaite as MC to introduce Neil McFarlane, Lucy Frederick and Dane Baptiste and kickstart your weekends with some belly laughs.
Doors open at 8pm; tickets cost £20.
Saturday: Ealing Croquet Pay & Play
Ealing Croquet Club is holding a series of 'Pay and Play' sessions on their lawns in lovely Lammas Park.
Croquet is a fascinating sport suited to all ages: it provides mental challenges but isn't physically demanding - and being a game that up to four people can play while still being socially distanced, it's perfect for the current situation.
A chance to try a fun new sport or – if you've played croquet before - to improve your skills. Sessions last one hour and you can book for up to 8 people per session.
