The W4 Youth, Rocks Lane Sports Trust and Brentford FC Community Sports Trust FUN day was well attended by the local community.

Those who came has a chance to play football at Southfield Recreational Ground and basketball at the W4 Youth hub.

The Mayor of Ealing attended for an hour and spoke to many of the parents and children. He took a penalty and scored a goal with the strike going to the top right of the goal.

At the event W4 Youth Trustees spoke to people about the plans for the new youth and community centre to be sited at Southfield Recreation Ground and gathered feedback on what activities they wanted in the park run by W4 Youth.

Sally Chacatté, W4 Youth Founder and Chair, said: "It was great to be joined by Bretford FC Community Sports Trust and Rocks Lane Sports Trust for such a successful fun community event in Southfield Recreation Ground on Saturday 30 September.

"We held the joint event to engage the community in the progress of our plans for the new W4 Youth & Community Centre as well as other potential spaces for new activities and to get feedback on what more the local community would like to see."

Sally Chacatté added: "We had some great suggestions including the usual sports to yoga and stargazing and we'll be sending out a survey to people in the community who were unable to attend the event to get more feedback to inform the plans for the future. A special thanks to the Mayor of Ealing for coming along to support us."
