West Ealing train station has suspended services to Paddington due to "an unsafe structure" at the eastbound platform.

Maintenance work is underway at the station to secure a brick wall after Network Rail was alerted to cracks appearing in the structure.

While the station is part closed, customers travelling to Paddington are advised to first board a service to Hanwell, before taking the next London bound service to Ealing Broadway, Acton Main Line or Paddington.

The GWR Greenford branch service is unaffected, however the 2151 train from Greenford to London Paddington will not call at West Ealing.

Westbound trains towards Hayes & Harlington / Reading / Heathrow continue to operate as normal through West Ealing station.

Transport for London (TfL) has said the suspension on eastbound trains will lift when the essential maintenance works are completed, possibly by tomorrow (Thursday, July 7).
