There has been travel chaos in Ealing after the Central Line and the Elizabeth Line both experience severe delays across the lines.

The Central Line and Elizabeth Line have both had incidents which have caused severe delays on the lines, meaning that travel in Ealing has been greatly impacted.

The Elizabeth Line has had severe delays between Reading and Abbey Wood after there was a fire in Maidenhead, meaning that those travelling from Souhtall, Hanwell, West Ealing, North Ealing, and Acton Main Line have experienced large delays.

Then the Central Line has also been greatly impacted this morning after a "customer incident" at Newbury Park, causing the line to have been completely closed between Leytonstone and Grange Hill via Newbury Park and the rest of the line was running slowly because of this.

This means that those travelling to and from East Acton, North Acton, West Acton, Ealing Broadway will have had their plans disrupted.

Due to these delays, passengers' tickets were being accepted on alternative routes on the London Underground and buses to help deal with the delays.

A statement on the TfL website said: "Elizabeth Line: Severe delays between Abbey Wood and Reading due to an earlier fire alert at Maidenhead. GOOD SERVICE on the rest of the line. Tickets are being accepted on London Underground via any reasonable route.

"Central Line: Severe delays between White City and Ealing Broadway / West Ruislip and between Leytonstone and Epping / Grange Hill.

"MINOR DELAYS between White City and Leytonstone due to an earlier customer incident. Tickets are being accepted on Buses via any reasonable route."
