A second Fuller's pub has closed in the Ealing area in the last week due to difficulties regarding the running costs.
The Red Lion pub in Ealing has closed overnight announcing that as of Thursday 12th January that the pub will be turned back to Fuller's and they would no longer run it.
The Red Lion's owners Edin and Barbara left a note in the window announcing the decision, stating that they would be handing the lease over to Fuller's.
The note read: "We regret to inform you that the Red Lion will close the door on 12th January.
"In the light of the soaring cost increases of energy and food/drinks, inflation, and raising cost of living it made it impossible to continue trading.
"We will be handing the lease back over to Fuller's. It has been an incredible 4.5 years of running this beautiful pub and be part of the community.
"We are sorry for any convenience caused. Best, Edin and Barabara."
However, a statement on the Fuller's website revealed that they would be running the pub themselves now that the previous owner's lease had expired.
A spokesperson for Fuller, Smith & Turner said: "Our Tenant at The Red Lion has come to the end of his lease and decided not to renew. This gives us a good opportunity to make some improvements in the pub and we are going to be investing – especially in the kitchen.
"We expect to have the pub re-let shortly and anticipate that it will reopen with a new Tenant, and an exciting new offer, towards the end of February."
This closure comes on the heels of the closure of the Black Horse, another pub owned by Fuller's, which had a statement on the website stating that the pub had been made to close as it was no longer viable to run.
The Black Horse's website now reroutes back to the Fuller's website homepage, displaying their other pubs across the country.
This came just under a month after James Murray, MP for Ealing North, had secured an adjournment debate for the Black Horse in the House of Commons in an attempt to prevent it being turned into a block of flats.
