AWARD-WINNING creatives from the University of West London (UWL) will host free virtual workshops to help boost social media engagement for businesses across the region.

The students plan to help businesses bounce back after a year of lockdown restrictions through equipping the companies with social media skills.

The skills acquired could help boost the businesses' social media presence, customer engagement and manage their digital advertising.

The workshops will be run through a project called the Third Culture Collective at the UWL and final-year Advertising and Press Relations students will reach out to local start-ups and medium-sized enterprises to provide their expertise.

Paul Lohneis, the Head of UWL's London School of Film, Media and Design, said: "The pandemic has had a huge impact on our communities and our students are keen to put everything they have

learnt and developed at UWL to use supporting them through the next steps."

The sessions on offer are free to attend and they include:
  • April 22 – 4pm – Simple steps to a social media strategy.
  • May 6 – 4pm – Boost your creativity and elevate your social media content.

If you are interested in attending any of the sessions, you can sign up HERE.
